A guy down the street from my parents bought a fancy CNC plasma cutter so I had him build me some custom cab mounts for my W900 last summer.![]()

I did all those holes in the picture (both rails) plus a few more afterwards for the rear crossmember and the 5/8" bit still cuts pretty good. I didn't use any cutting fluid either.johndeere4020, Logan76, SAR and 2 others Thank this.

DI water and rolls of wire. Usually cut it and then do two skim passes and check with pin guages. I didn't run it because it was mostly die work. Took two tries to get the pattern correct for a buddy of mine's extended shift lever for his softtail. But I wouldn't know nothing about that.Logan76, SAR, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 1 other person Thank this.

I drove one of the new X15 389's today.
Not sure I like it. The hood is nice and long, and the truck looks great going down the road, but for me, "feel" of how a truck drives is everything. It's what I'm doing for 11-13 hours a day, I want to enjoy it.
It drives just like a Paccar MX-13, but with great jakes (power, not sound, still a vacuum cleaner) and actual power going to the ground.
Do I want to put up with DPF/DEF, unknown reliability and not enjoying the drive just for a brand new truck? I'm not sure. I'm in a pre-ACERT twin turbo CAT with real Jacob's brand engine brakes with the wood-on-black Ergo dash and both blower and headache rack on a truck that grosses under 30k with an empty trailer.
I've been a CAT-man for almost 3 years, and driving that red motor made me feel like I was cheating on my wife.Hurricane69, Tug Toy, Feedman and 7 others Thank this. -
My dad made this on a laser at John Deere. He maintained the lasers and the factory guy that set them up also did them for H/D

I wish I would have saved the drill speed chart I put together. I did it back when floppy disc was the preferable storing device and memory size was smaller than the contacts on my phone. I had a nice laminated copy that I used everyday programming. Now all I can remember is 17/64 was 947. 13/64 was around 1250 and 5/32 was around 1500.
