He figured he'd be ok. He ordered some bolt on ramps off Amazon. And he may not even put them on because he's planning on just booking light loads that get set on/off his trailer with a crane.
I gave him a few names of some LS agents I used to work with and he didn't bother to write any of them down. Said he's going to mostly work off the load board.
I asked him where he was going and he said he was going to deadhead home to Houston. Had a load booked on Monday from there going to El Paso that paid $750.
I called the agent that owns the trailer and told him if he still wants to sell that trailer and the new guy doesn't tear it up too much that I'd buy it but the price is going down by 10k. He said he'd give this guy a few months with it and let me know how it goes.

If he was any smarter, he would haul dry van freight to Florida and deadhead to Denver for a reload.

I was amazed by that, when I worked for the crane company we were doing a job and a guy next door came and wanted to know if we could lift a bus he had been restoring and set it in a trailer. We went over to look at it, it was kinda weird. It was in his lot covered with tarps, it looked like a bus until he pulled the tarps off and it was just metal tubing. I couldn’t believe that thing would stay together.ShooterK2, BigCam9670, Feedman and 18 others Thank this.

Called a friend in Tennessee near I-81. He’s headed your way, just has to get some plywood cut to make the signs and an old beacon.
