Rigs cleaned... there's something nice about having the boys at the Beacon doing a good job for a change. Even if it is a slow fleet truck makes a man feel all good inside. Almost like kicking the front door down after being gone for weeks.
Grammas for some late breakfast. Then off to the 74 till Monday.1951 ford, 2CAN, Hurricane69 and 5 others Thank this. -
Luck sure is on my side right now.
Thursday I fought delays out of the yard and got to Gwinner, ND to unload with 30 minutes before they close receiving. Forgot how much work it is to pull a set of tarps (I've gotten soft sitting behind a desk, lol).
I made it only as far as Alexandria, MN that night (wanted to get to Petro Clearwater). Started at 6:30 am because I didn't want to get stuck in Minneapolis rush hour, get to the pickup, there's no line (which I've been told there always is if you aren't there first thing) and the only person inside ahead of me is only getting a few bundles.
I'm into the building, loaded (shippers didn't take break until after they were done loading :O) and tarped in under 3 hours. Tarp job only took me 40 minutes which surprised me because I'm usually dogging it, dripping in sweat halfway through. I get outside and there is 3 trucks lined up for the same bay I was in.
Then it was race the Elog back to the border to get my Canadian hours back. Had 50 minutes left on the DOT clock as I crossed. Averaged darn near 60 mph from Minneapolis to the border... in a 64 mph truck. And over 6 mpg on Canadian winter fuel for the whole trip (13 litre motors sure make a difference).
Next week I'm doing a day trip on Monday, then a Wisconsin-Chicago rounder for Tue-Fri. Doing another mentor run, but I won't be the only one doing them any more.1951 ford, Hurricane69, Feedman and 1 other person Thank this. -
I have a sudden need for $30,000 USD. I'd spend the little bit more and have the sleeper interior redone but dam she fine.1951 ford, whoopNride, Hurricane69 and 6 others Thank this.

Lol, my wife would kill me if I bought a truck without her approval. She wants a house first.
Good luck, hopefully she's as nice as she looks.1951 ford, 4mer trucker, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 6 others Thank this.
