You are correct about drag. and I know there are some big hammers out there that will run fast, really fast. I'm not taking that away from the legit guys.

What a pleasant surprise. An added stop that's only 150 miles out of route, and on a Friday too? Double bonus!

Hope my #5 friends have a better Friday than mine is shaping up to be.

I’ve had bad barbecue! My mother in-law cooked some pork roast in a crockpot and tried to tell me it was barbecue.

That was my experience too. I-40 in Arizona, had two guys pass me they claimed they were doing 110, don't know for sure but they were flying I knew that.

I was in a w900, company truck, got to wondering how fast she'd go. I was already at 70 so I took er up to 90, front end started vibrating and all the scenarios you stated we're going through my head and that was enough for me.

I had a little 9200 once with a 470 Detroit, 3.90 rears on tall 24’s and a .62 triple over 13. In theory it was a triple digit truck. But the speedo stopped at 85. I don’t know how fast it would go, but it’d get to 85 right easy

The difference between fast at empty weight and loaded is like night and day. Weighed down gets to be worrisome quick.

@Bear135 if you would have stayed in it right around a 100mph that vibration will go away. It will settle down and get quiet as a cemetery at midnight. I personally hate driving an empty truck. Put a legal load of corn in a hopper bottom then you got something that will handle.

Let me add this is all purely speculation I mean I have no way of knowing for sure.

Just about 6, we best start pickin I got an early afternoon arrival to the house on my mind
