I wiped out in my turbo car on a road course at 140. This was after doing a cannonball from BuffaloNY to RenoNV. It rained from Buffalo to DesMoines, 12 inch wide wheels on the back of the car and I put zip codes on the rest of the field (see, that’s that Trucker in me...run through the rain and ice and when the drives want to come around, you just calmly correct). Destroyed the field. It wasn’t even close.
However, we rented a road course, and I went in too hot and went on a field trip. Got the car back on the track and they black flagged me and I went into the pit. I looked the car over and made sure it was okay. It was fine. I breathed a sigh of relief and I felt it...
My immortality was taken. Drove the car home and parked it in storage and never drove it again.
It’s funny, got a 140Hp bike with wicked looks. People ask me how fast I’ve had it, and I will tell them 85 (west Texas speed limits). They look disgusted. So what?Slowpoke KW, johndeere4020, 1951 ford and 15 others Thank this. -

My view this morning. Getting ready to negotiate my way through security and the protesters at this Federal building. Oh what a f######g joy!
And on the subject of speed, this one can supposedly peg that far right number. I will not be the one driving it or riding in it when it does. I scared the shat out of myself quite a ways before it could bend the needle.

Back in the day, people used to go home at night. 9pm, the roads cleared out and if you weren’t in a metro area, you could hammer down. Now it seems that the roads don’t clear out until after midnight.Slowpoke KW, 7-UP, johndeere4020 and 19 others Thank this. -

I wish it did Six. It took more for me. It took being on a bike trip and seeing my father crash and die for it to click with me, or slow me down. He was invincible till that day even at 66 years old. My street bob has been to 110ish mph a few times but nothing to talk about. I'm a right lanner in the semi now too. Ill get there when I get there.Slowpoke KW, johndeere4020, 1951 ford and 20 others Thank this.
