I’m still hauling chemicals for a couple weeks. I just honestly hate it. With a passion. I dread going to work. I deserve some flack for changing jobs so fast, so I’ll accept that

This thing...? Some kind of kit car would be my guess. Has what appears to be a Chevy Impala frame and suspension.1951 ford, Zeviander, PoleCrusher and 14 others Thank this.

Well I'd say you made the right choice ace, nothing worse than doing a job that you hate.1951 ford, Zeviander, PoleCrusher and 16 others Thank this.

I don't think you deserve flack. You tried it and it wasn't for you. I got no problem with people switching jobs. As long as you better yourself and your family. I've had a lot of jobs for various reasons. Except for when I was injured my job history is seam less. Life is way to short to be miserable in what you do. As long as you are working and taking care of yours have at it!

I think it’ll be a lateral move at worst. A little less gross wage but insurance will be more coverage for the same money I pay now. And I won’t get home and take out my stress on my wife. We settled on a job that has me out 4-5 days a week. It wasn’t easy talking her into it but she came around.1951 ford, Zeviander, PoleCrusher and 13 others Thank this.

Ah, couldn't figure out why a real K special roadster would be on a boat, they are 5 million dollar cars.

Rule 1. Do whatever you need to for you and family. Never care or be concerned about what others think. Never be ashamed for supporting your way of life.
No one will be there to support you at the end of the day, year or life except yourself.
Good luck. -
So doing some digging of trucks I operated. This pig was a monster. 2007 Western Star 80 ton NRC Sliding Rotator. Notice the spread tandem steer. Had to be, had 40k on the front empty. Truck weighed 84,500 with operator. Not much storage. 3500 Chevy utility had to follow it. 2 foot off the tail board rated to lift 165,000lbs. With a 20% saftey factor. At fully extended boom it would rotate 46,000 pounds 360 degrees safely. Now I say operated because I did sometimes. But this was the owners baby and he was the only one that could take her to the max. Not because he wouldn't let you. But just because we are back to boy parts becoming girl parts at that point. -
1999 Pete, Cat 18 speed 30 ton sliding rotator. Wink wink on the 30 ton. Still before the electronics on wrecker. Most reliable and under rated rig I ever used. This was not a wrecker, it was a 100 mph crane! Photo after getting new rear diff and forsale. No rear axle caps! -
New unit 439 replacing 439 Above. 45 or 50 ton sliding rotator. Isx 18 speed. 77 mph
. Did a lot of work out of it. Still in use but I never knew its full capability. Full electronic wrecker. Safety bull spit.
