Honestly back then trucking was just a bunch of ol’ Country boys trying to scrap out a living. No one was trying get rich, or trying to game the system or any other ill intent. They were just trying to do what they promised they would and feed the family. This song really was a lot of the sentiment.

Well, this kid came up a bit later with an older waitress (30) asking advice about his girlfriend who just dropped out of high school. The reason why he asked me? Because I called him friend.
