I am sure I am late to the party on this - I was actually doing some work today

I am unfortunately in the trucks are a tool side of this... trip just want the right tool for the job. I am not a “large car” kinda guy - I want littlenor no chrome or extra lights or extra wheelbase or god forbid a 7’ tall shifter with my seat on the floor.

Having said that, I don’t care what someone else likes or desires. Knock yourself out and drive what is right for you.

I may just be a steering wheel holder based on this but I will stand behind my steering wheel holding skills.

I like my job and do it because I like it - I do not love trucks (trailers maybe...).

So I am not sure which side I have to fight on and whether there are more or less of me and if we could win or not.

Also, I would never drive in the snow or go without ac or a fridge or many other creature comforts (power steering, air ride seats, jake brakes, ) not available in the “good old days”.

Careful there, grasshopper. You don’t want to get roped into a potentially bad deal via the shiny truck.

A certain other outfit we all know is good for the same trick.

So I have spent more time in a shop than in a truck so far in my life still. You never know who you are talking to on phone. Could be the janitor, could be Co. President. So treat them the same. Next you cant tell them anything. They are paying you. Do as the customer wants. If its really bad ideal I will inform or the possibilities but decision is on the. If it questions your judgement kindly inform them they need to go to another shop for that type of work to be done. I see customers as you hire and fire them. I have fired plenty of customers. But you have those select ones that you will do anything for. Why because there check is always on time!

My wife works with one of their most senior driver's brothers, and my aunt-/uncle-in-law are good friends with the owner and his wife. I've never heard a single negative thing about Jade, nor it's staff. They were my first choice when getting into this industry they just weren't hiring at the time, and my only reason for being wary of switching companies is they do DG and that's just not appealing to me much, if at all.

They only seem to be growing as a company, they are one of the few with a lack of problems with driver retention. When I was in the office, I was asked what we could do to negate that problem, my answer was "Look at Jade Transport is doing and do that." Our owner is trying, but his penny-pinching nature is holding him back from going all out.

    Don’t kid yourself

If you pay her the same amount she got paid to pose in front of that

Should pose in front of a Yugo with 3 wheels and a goat in it.

Guessing some youngster don't know about the worst built car ever. I drove one once and lived to tell about it. Could have taken front seats out and sat in the rear!
