Sitting at the lunch counter having breakfast this morning and got into a discussion with a hand about os/ow travel restrictions. I've never done it and he does regularly. Anyhow I was asking about the weekend restrictions in some states that I don't understand the "why" of.

It doesn't make sense to me why they would not allow you to travel just because it's a weekend day.

I won’t give anybody #### about their ride. Except those who plainly don’t give a ####. I mean the ones who bungee the hood down, mismatched doors or hood. Bad tires and torn off mud flaps. I will give those guys grief

Get a load of Ontario's OS restrictions. Can't drive past 2pm on a Friday on a 2-lane highway. Why? All the cottage-goers and people pulling RV's. Extra traffic, extra stupid on the roads. Even the Ontario government acknowledges their drivers can't drive.

I don't miss that province at all.

The best answer is really no more than a guess or two

On the weekend there are more families traveling (weekdays they would be at work and school) and fewer repair related services available. Sort of the same reason for holiday travel restrictions- permit offices are closed and some inspection facilities are are closed.

To be honest - there is no real good reason why I can’t travel in NV over 110’ long on a weekend or in this case AL.

I am just as scary and dangerous to traveling families during the week.

I think it all goes back to the blue laws of old. Sunday is the sabbath and you shouldn’t work. I will say a lot of states are changing now
