Do y’all have any suggestions for playing my Xbox in my truck? I drive for 1-800-driversgetfuked and they don’t give me an APU or an Inverter but I’d really like to play my video games while I’m at a customer because they tend to hold me up by about 6 to 8 hours.... work? What do ya mean work?

 

I just require it to have a nice lining for my marbles. No married man in his right mind can say his ain't in there. Flannel in the winter is nice. But the exzotic ones in the summer kinda give me a pep in my step!

Story time: A decade ago, I used to run aircraft engines, legalload, 1 engine, from MemphisTN to Atlanta airport for $5500 to the truck. Southern pride came in and agreed to pull 2 engines for 1/3 price. Had a buddy with LoneStar, longtime company schmuck that pulled them for $1200. He would tell me how great the freight rate was. Indeed....

Years ago, guys were moving 1 Hummer to military bases for the 2x the price that people move 2 of them. Years ago, we were running Canada for 3x the money that these chumps run for. A decade ago, you could make $325-350k or more pulling freight. Now, everyone wants to see how cheap they can roll and how much freight they can put on their wagon for the same rate that they used to run a partial for. And then they want to cry about money and the cost of living.
(No offense meant, BTW...just trying to help you understand the deal)
In other words, if your company is getting good full TL rates on LTL partials, keep your teeth together and enjoy it while it lasts.

That makes sense and I’m by no means knocking SPD...

I just... if I can take the partial I have now and load another partial that as far as I know paid for a TL... aren’t we coming out ahead?
