Or if I'm going through the trouble of flipping save up and toss a reman 13, 15, or 18 with multiple ODs already in it.

 

Were it me I would keep the rears at least until they caused a problem and swap in an 18 if you're hauling heavy. That truck is going to be heavy though, might not be what you want for hauling bulk commodities.
I can't answer the question about flipping the gears.

 

The lift axle as well as the headache rack will be removed. The only thing I cant remove is the 15 or so feet of double frame rails

 

For us it was pretty low cost. How much? Hard to say. But if you buy breakfast a time or two for the fella they got hired who does the feeding it helps.

Putting her on feed in the corrals had more to do with when the butcher had room in the cooler and when we had time to slaughter.

 

So...uhhh... you inviting all your friends over for a feast any time soon?

 

I think the 2 speed is adding quite a bit as well. What does it weigh?
