I will always take the time to sit and listen to older guys. The knowledge can't be gained by a book. You never know what you will learn. There were days in my younger age I may not have said that. But I eat it up now.

@stwik next exit up on 76/224 east there is a World truck repair with a Huddle House. Not bad last time I was there.

 

@stwik Guess your at the T/A since your tranny problems with Peelot. The south east corner across from blue beacon used to one huge Union 76 truckstop. Good old fashion eat in greasy spoon kinda place. Been gone awhile now. Torn down in the changing world we know as TA/Peelot world.

 

They’ve been making a lot of changes to our EFS card system since I’ve been here...

We used to be open to fuel anywhere but now it’s just major chains + Sapp Brothers and I think one independent stop out by our main yard..... all because many of our drivers won’t make the smart financial decision to grab fuel and will stop at an independent over a major chain despite the cost....

They, the office, don’t understand the time difference.... that being said I’ve been fueling at nothing but TA/Petro for the past two weeks and haven’t had to wait at all to grab fuel. 10-15 minutes tops and I’m back on the interstate...

 

It shouldn't matter but east of you there is a scales on 76. Only open west bound but these boys are some bad MOFO's I avoid at all cost.

 

I like to see how the old guy’s carry themselves and interact others. Especially when they have that old guy wit.

I would love to watch Pops interact with nurses and waitresses.

Waitress: How are you doing today, sir?

Pops: I’m doing all of them that I can. I do the easy ones twice!
