As @1951 ford has said, Keto is a good diet, has done wonders for me, my type 2 and my weight.

Cut out starches (potatoes, rice, pasta, breads) and if course sugar. I'll be honest, that first week your going to have cravings not unlike a heroin addict has when they stop using. It will pass, you'll find in a couple weeks your eating a whole lot less and not feeling hungry. Drink LOTS!!! of water. I drink a gallon a day and aside from my morning 24oz bullet-proof (Keto) coffee, that is the only liquid I consume.

I can't stress enough, cut out the starches, that's your biggest enemy with early type 2.

    Cut out the starches....

You know when @Ruthless mentioned putting a bullet in his head before having to eat food through a straw? Like a blended hamburger?

Well... that’s how I’d feel if I lost my beloved pasta. Potatoes I could possibly come to terms with... but pasta?!? Is there a friendly keto + pasta diet out there?

Got the aircraft fuselage loaded however, more importantly, I got my beloved 3d printer back up and doing its magic after sitting idle for 6 months.

My mother is a full blown diabetic. Couldn't control her sugar level. Could be as high as 340 or drop to 60. Taking anywhere from 20 units to 50 units of insulun. She ate what ever she wanted. Sis put her on a 75 carb a day diet and controlled her insulin intake from 10 to 20 units. In three weeks she has lost 22 lbs and her sugar floats between 125 to a high of 170....world of difference in the way she feels !

I even managed to cook some dinner and got a money shot (doneness) for @stwik

Certainly nothing special, my go to sirloin with a pan sauce and some Brussels Sprouts wrapped in chef's food duct tape.
