    I only tried a little bit of linqua once but it's very good and you will probably change your mind if you try it. That's also true of Barbacoa. In South Texas It's muscles from around the face of a cow ( the jaw muscle for one ) in other places it's made from other parts. It's known as a high fat content meat but the South Texas version is the only one I've had. I don't like fat but that is marbled so well that it is delicious.

    It's been snowing all day. About 8 inches so far. The tilt deck is done. Got the plow truck all chained up so I can get this place cleaned up tomorrow.

    @Slowpoke KW . I was down your way today, had a doctor's appt. Came home the back way up 77 and was surprised to see the new bridge going up. I know they had an issue with the old one a few years back but I didn't know they had approved a new one.

    They started the new one back in 2017 supposed to be finished later this year. It’s gonna be four lane with a pedestrian lane on the south side.

    Man, this thread moves fast.. as always.

    @stwik seems the forum here has you covered on that EZPZ air leak. I doubt you need another mechanic (even one with a degree in such black magik and sorcery) chiming in on it.

    Anyway,

    @$@%@$ my day. It may not me manly, but I don't care.. I'm a little on the unhappy side due to having to watch my wife's favorite cat get put down this evening. Feline Leukemia. He and she had quite the bond, and in fact sometimes I think she loved him more than me. Won't lie, I was fond of the guy too, even though he only warmed up to me in the past few months, despite raising him from a kitten. Now we have to have our other cats tested and hope that they didn't contract it from him, because it's a death sentence. Vet said that he probably had it his whole life and it was dormant.

    Don't know why I posted this here, really. May be the rum I've been drinking, or it may be because I don't have any friends outside of the strangers I talk to here.

    We have a Mexican restaurant, The Anchor Inn (named for the retired Navy base South of town), that sells barbacoa, minudo (I'm sure I didn't spell it right) along with a lot of other really good food on Saturday mornings out the back door of the restaurant. It's a cash only type deal. You won't find this stuff on the regular menu. It's referred to as "Backdoor Anchor". The money helps the workers and their families as the owner doesn't take any cut from it. The people with the power to shut it down just let things be, kind of a "You're not bothering us, we won't bother you" type deal. The owner, who is an older Hispanic gentlemen, keeps the workers and their families in line so to speak. You rarely ever hear of trouble from that part of town.

    @Czar_Zero Sorry to here that. Never fun.

    So drove this ###### 4.5 miles each way. Little hard on fuel, bounced at 8mph but as Wore would say. "I stuck it in the big hole and let it eat". No one could pass me, or wanted to. Kinda wiggle sob on Icy county road. Elected not to take a pic coming down a hill. So found truck in snow drift. Low voltage, crank but not fast. Fuel is a little chunky on top. Like my darn beer that I left in house garage, not beer fridge. Note not to do that again. Added some 911 and head out in am to get her started. After daddy daycare and plowing, it has been a day. 20190121_191437.jpg

    @Ruthless

    Yeah, it's not like human leukemia. In felines it's a virus that can be spread through bodily fluids/excretions. It's the number one killer of cats that's not injury related. Lame thing is, it can lay dormant for a long time and then WHAM, outta nowhere hit the critter like a ton of bricks. They can even test negative for it while it's dormant which can make it hard to catch.

    Apparently his came active, probably about five days ago and it hit him hard. Nailed his immune system and made him super anemic. Vet said he probably wouldn't make it through the night. There was the option to give him a blood transfusion and medication, but that would have only extended his life by 6 months tops. Plus we would have had to force feed him until the end. Decided it was best to have him euthanized. Adopted him from the pound 8 years ago, and like I said before... He and my wife were super pals.
