Drilling those vent shafts in the coal mines, you had to finish once you started. Drill 8 3/4” pilot hole into the mine, then ream it out to 20” diameter to carry the air volume.

Potted meat, Vienna sausages, Beanie Weanies, bananas, and potatoe chips with lots of water and RC Cola is what we lived on for 3 days at a time.

When I ran Texas and back with the aerodyne cabover Kenworth I kept plenty stuff in the factory cooler / frig. Hit the pickle park and tap my kidneys, throw some vittles together on the doghouse and get back after it! Wish I was still built like I was then lol.

I don't think those 'letric logs are as good as the old fashioned wooden logs. They don't have that uniform heat. Sometimes you can stick your fingers in those flames from a 'letric log and there ain't no heat. It's almost like it's a light. Like from a light bulb. Then you turn up the voltage to get warm and the dang things will explode on ya. Too unpredictable. Gimme a wooden log any day. When you stick a finger in a flame from one a those you can always count on getting burned. Dependability you can count on.

Used to throw a can of chili or something on the manifold of the dozer. Took a bit to learn how long to leave it there.....more than once you'd open it and it would blow all over!

If I would learn how to type better I wouldn't spend so much time editing, sheesh!

Yep!!! Old 6V Detroit had perfect manifolds to lay a can of Beanie Weanies in..... and true that about cracking the can open lol! Sure would make a mess.
