Yep that’s it, we had an L9000 with one of those behind a redhead. 144” wheelbase setback axle pulling a 45’ ramp trailer with the axles about 6’ forward. It would go anywhere.

Huh, that’s a weird one... never heard of a performance nine before. No lo range like a standard 9...

    Do they still make them?

Well I have seen a few transmissions in my time. This apparently never caught on, why?

    I ran a 8LL with a U pattern & a BCiii.
I didn’t know it was a U pattern the first time I ran it. No pattern sticker anywhere n nobody said nothing.
Sure did lug when I went to grab “7th” and when I got her wound up pretty tight (man this is 7th! 8th is gonna ####in KICK!) I come out to grab 8th and no way no how lol could tell I was too fast for it by the sound :(
Learned it out before I got back to the yard.

I might be wrong on the 8LL... nobody ever did correct me and I didn’t look for a sticker on it. That’s what the regular operator told me it was?

No it had a low range you just didn’t use 5th on the bottom. You started in 1st by your leg and shifted to 4th then went to high range back to your leg and then ran 5 on the top. 4 on the bottom 5 on top.
