Cabover is not bad if you still have your youth, I like them but would dread getting in and out of one at this point in life. Guess it could be a good exercise routine if you had lots of stops? If I ever decide to put my Transtar I I on the road it will be for short hauls or just loading out of the plant.

Weren't Super 10's made by different manufacturers ? I drove some that I believe were made by Eaton Fuller and one that was a Fuller. Different sticks and switch gear. The cheap crummy ones were in some cheap Volvo carhaulers with gutless M 11 Cummins and were high mileage. Shifted ok sometimes but were unreliable and would miss falling into the next gear at times. And if they did catch the next gear, they clunked, fell in slow, or both. Spent a lot of time finessing the throttle trying to help it ease into the next gear as smooth as possible. Upshift or downshift, still a pain to work with. It's hard to remember but I think those were Eaton Fuller's. I couldn't stand those. Everything about those Trucks were cheap components and worn out. The other one was a lot better and I don't remember it ever missing a shift. Had a bit beefier stick and switch and never clunked into the next gear but operated very smooth and easy on the driveline. I think that one was a Fuller ? I thought Eaton was a good brand but the cheap ones that I think were dual branded were some junk.

I hope he's not hurt, but it sure would be tempting to holler on the radio " I know how to drive in it, now get out of my way, Ditch Digger " as you pass by him.

That was KS yesterday with freezing drizzle and finally turned to snow about 1600. I-70 closed at Colby and around the Manhattan exit because of all the wrecks, including 2 KDOT plow trucks. Couldn't believe they sent us out in it but we all made it back....waiting on a call about today now because I doubt linehaul ran last night so a few of us might go in to do pickups this afternoon. Be safe out there.
