Yes replacing a few things is possible if it’s screaming. The rafters at R.F Steiners where dad retired were made from 2” pipe and angle iron. I still remember dad showing where a 71 series took all it could stand!! The rafter had a large place dented in it from a cylinder head.
I remember him speaking of a guy having a Detroit on the shop floor, it went for a moon shot and the guy shoved his heavy wool lined bluejean jacket over the air intake..... instant confetti!!

I need to tell you all a story about a guy called Mutten chops some time lol. Yea it involved a 2 stroke.... and a man that feared them lol.
