Where is everyone #5

I had a friend on nightshift call me one morning as I was coming on. He said he had written 23 citations, which was impressive since its usually pretty slow. He said the tickets were for all types of violations, he was young and aggressive.

So I said let me ask you something. Did you wear your seatbelt all night? Come to complete stops at every stop sign, use your turn signal for every lane change, obey the speed limits? He said, um no. I said if you come out here demanding perfection from everyone, you best drive perfect too. He never called me to brag after that.

 

That’s funny and true.

 

Guess it’s time to git gone.

Think I’m gonna run towards Sioux Falls instead.

Amarillo job is done. I’ve had an annoying fuel leak ever since I got back on the road. Between front and center head. Changed fuel crossover 3 times, new O-rings about a dozen times. Inspection camera won’t quite fit between the heads but I’m convinced that new head I just put on is cracked. So off she comes today.

Ya know, I like this N14, I really do. But being able to get decent parts for it has been a real challenge.
