Interstates in semi are 5 years old and start mine at 10° not plugged in. But I put a high torque gear reduction starter on about 3 years ago.

Thirty years ago they had something similar in Chattanooga. I don't know if it's still in operation but a chain owned it. Hilton maybe ? Chattanooga Choo Choo was the name if I remember right ? That sounds like something I would enjoy.
@OLDSKOOLERnWV ? Last night I posted something about the glorious state you reside in. I might have possibly misspelled the name or been ever so slightly in error in a few of the things I wrote in that post. Purely accidentally of course. I've been waiting for you to react with Fury .... uh, I mean .... um .... I've been diligently looking forward to your opinion of the views I espoused in the hitherto mentioned piece of journalism.
Your thoughts Sir ?Feedman, catalinaflyer, 1951 ford and 11 others Thank this. -

I put 4 Interstates in mine last spring, when the factory batteries were junk after 2 & 1/2 yrs. It can set a week in the cold and fires right up. Of course they are still fairly new.Al. Roper, Feedman, catalinaflyer and 14 others Thank this.

You’re talking about the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum?
Back in my private security days, had a bigwig that had an interest in CivilWar stuff. Got paid to take him to various places in the south. The ChooChoo is a museum, but that railroad museum had a working steam train and their own track.Al. Roper, Feedman, catalinaflyer and 13 others Thank this. -
I ain't having much luck with them in the truck either. The last set had one go bad and replaced under warranty and put the other two in the shop. Put in three new ones six months ago and if I shut it off for eight hours you might as well go get the charger.Feedman, catalinaflyer, 1951 ford and 11 others Thank this.

We use Interstate batteries, we had an interstate in an 815 a couple years ago that I had to move that day because it was wanted offsite. I couldn’t get it with my jump pack and the mechanic couldn’t either. We said screw it and ran the batteries up to interstate in Westerville for new ones. Soon as we pulled them out the guy laughed, he said he had no idea why they would have sold us those. He said there are two distinct lines of interstate batteries. He said the ones we had won’t take a charge once they’re drained.Al. Roper, Feedman, catalinaflyer and 16 others Thank this.
