Maybe if I had a scraper neck. But, not with this talbert neck. I’m just south of the Manchester, TN scales. So they won’t pull me on the scales anyhow. Just going up the road a piece from there. Just thought it was interesting. I’ve loaded 740’s, 745’s, A40’s and a 45 ton terex truck. All I could get to 60.

I tried running the machine forward onto a higher block to get the neck attached but raising the front put on the rear transition beams. Could roll it far enough back (because of the lower beam clearance. I tried everything with what I had. It looks close at the front but i need close to 10 more inches of travel for the neck. The thing to do would have been to roll it off the front and go up another 12x12 but I only carry 4 4’ 12x and already had them under the tracks. The machine in that photo was on the neck and on the rear transition. Didn’t want to screw up a $1.5m demo machine.

I was worried about the ground clearance and that was no big deal. The flat deck guys just load it all the way to the back of the well because there is no clearance issue with the rear transition.

Yes it is...I was supposed to be having a guy haul it out this week as an LTL but he changed plans.

I ran into the exact thing with that truck, I had a 24’ well I hoped with a longer well it would scale. Apparently not.

Seen a driver loading a 336 cat this morning. No big deal, right ? Came back with my second load ole boys trailer and 336 still sitting there. Boy running the yard said he needed pilot car . Huh, what ? For a little 336 on a 3+1 ? Guess he can't get it below 14 ft 7 in height. The dang fool had the boom forward and sitting on a 10×10 block to clear neck. ......Um turn the dang house around and problem solved !
