I did that back in the early 2000's from Ontario to a farm show in central CA then delivered in AZ to the dealer. The manufacturer paid layover to insure prompt delivery because it was sold and the needed it for the show too. It was a feed grinder/mixer like this:

I think the worst part of cheap freight is sitting waiting to get loaded because every other dummy is sitting waiting for it too.
