First I've heard this. I couldn't even begin to know how that must feel. Truly am sorry.

Nope, I wouldn't. As soon as I see they're fake... not interested.

Oldsmobile was trying to capitalize on the popularity of the Cutlass name and produced multiple cars with Cutlass as part of the name. Both front and rear wheel drive versions off different platforms were made for awhile during the 80's.
So yes, you do.
That business decision has led to a lot of confusion about what a Cutlass is, especially since Oldsmobile was killed off by GM. Which was a ignorant decision brought about from many years of bad decisions about what role they were aiming Oldsmobile at. Cutlass was the best seller of all GM's products at one point and then GM let Olds languish with very little new product during most of the 80's. The tooling for the front wheel drive cars was fully amortized and GM made a very good margin while those versions were still strong sellers. When they finally stopped selling so well, Oldsmobile was caught without much in the product development pipeline to replace it with. Not only that but they had doomed that Make and Brand because they created a image of a less than desirable car in a certain segment of kids who wanted anything else but an Olds.
The thing that really ticked me off about it was that Olds was the oldest surviving Brand of American car. Heritage is important and attracts all buyers to varying degrees. Just throwing away 107 year's of history is stupidity.
The front wheel drive versions were Cutlass Cieras, with even more small name changes.Last edited: Feb 9, 2019

Y’all are confusing me. My Culass supreme was an Olds. Salon....Brougham.... I thought they all were Olds.

I bought a brand new '87 GN for my wife. I got rid of it shortly after I got her a ASTRO conversion van. It wasn't a very fun car to drive. Handling was crap.
