There is a guy in our little group has a maroon 66 convertible 396 4 speed factory air numbers matching car that makes mine look like do-do. You can see a few zip ties etc under my hood. Not his lol. He has a couple really nice vettes too. He hooked me up with several new old stock items that brought my car out.

 

Got to the plant earlier to find one woman tending to 4 bandsaws, and the door blocked with material so I couldn’t get in. She made a phone call and shortly 2 guys came out of the break room in the next building. Not a very good example guys, especially since they knew I was coming....!!

 

My cousin had a 67 factory 2 dr hardtop chevelle 396 / 4spd car with original 396 and a 427. One little place on the body, brought it back from Colorado I believe it was. Called him one day to see if he would consider selling it..... gosh I sure wish I would have known Jim!!! Sold it last month to a woman and her son.

$2500.

Forget about any notions of safety of any sort. The main purpose of the HOS is to try to make the teamsters and the mega carrier bottom feeders ( the ATA) competitive with the rest. It is another example of socialism.

You likely met one of the drivers out of PanTex up by Amarillo. If you had looked around the parking lot you might have seen one or two other government vehicles with blacked out windows and pretty large domes on the roof (kinda like an oversized Qualcomm antenna). That's my guess.

 

I believe I’ve seen em before. We run right past Pan Tex when we run from Enid to Amarillo across 60. Always wondered how so many of them dang Texans get away with not having their name and numbers on their truck.
