You know what's BS about Walmart? The no truck parking #### is upto the store manager.
I've gotten into it with a manager before of this after going into the store to shop. And if a store does allow truck parking I usually try to thank the manager and let him/her know that not all truck drivers are jerkoffs.Feedman, cke, Slowpoke KW and 10 others Thank this. -
100% understood.Feedman, cke, Slowpoke KW and 7 others Thank this. -
At least you won't have to go shopping to get one. I'm sure there's boxes and boxes full of Sympathy cards in the closet that folks already gave to your bride.

There was a big stink about that Walmart and the truck parking a year or so ago. The mayor called the truckers some names in an interview or something, caused a big fuss, then allowed the police to issue tickets and tow away any trucks that park in the lot or around back on the street.
It sucks. It’s a different world down there.Feedman, cke, Slowpoke KW and 13 others Thank this. -
The Walmart in New Boston, TX supposedly complained about trucks trashing their parking lot so the city passed an ordinance not allowing semi trucks on the dead end feeder road that goes into the Walmart. I was in the parking lot after shopping when the "friendly" local PD informed me that I can't park there, even being a paying customer. Oh but of course none of that applies to Walmart trucks. But the new truckstop down the road was happy to charge me $10 for a parking spot.Feedman, cke, Slowpoke KW and 9 others Thank this.

Oldskool I watched my dad have 3, 4 drivers and drive one himself plus all service work. Told me he made good money but it never stops. Years later he went back to one truck. Said if he cant live off of one truck he would quit Now I had mananged 16 or so guys at my last W2 job. Had it in my mind I would build myself a small fleet. Watching bestfriend with 6 trucks, and getting older I think I have adapted the oldman's 1 truck theory. Now I have two business outside of trucking. But my safety is that one solo truck. The revenue to me aint worth the stinky pile to get it, that way.Feedman, cke, Slowpoke KW and 9 others Thank this. -

TMC passes me like I’m standing still (doing 50mph) in a blizzard as it smacks Gallup NM...
He’s in a line of trucks and four wheelers in the left lane doing 60+ mph in crap road conditions all tail gating one another....
Ahhhhhhg yeah. When I park it it’s not because I don’t trust myself... it’s that i don’t trust these morons out here.
The sky has opened up now? Time to hammer down and pass the moronic turtle...Feedman, cke, Slowpoke KW and 16 others Thank this.
