F drive cams. There's absolutely no reason good enough to have them in a truck watching a guy. If he sucks that bad, get rid of him. Hand holding doesn't work long term.
Facing the road, thats not a bad idee, facing the driver, ####ing ridiculous. -
Try a Fish Store lol
Easy catching and Ya can move on to other Fun StuffTug Toy, Crusader66, wore out and 5 others Thank this. -
I'll trade you. It's 1°F and feels like -14.8°F with the wind.
Tips to keep you rolling in that MX-13:
1. Drive it like you stole it, all the time. They don't like to be treated with respect and perform best when being driven hard, especially the automatics. Odd, I know.
2. Idle at 1100-1300 rpm whenever the truck is on and not moving. The DPF needs high exhaust temps to clear itself out. If you don't idle up, it could clog overnight from being unable to regenerate, then you'll get a derate the next day when you don't want it. If you start seeing a check engine light on the dash with a high exhaust system warning light, idle up even more, it means it's having trouble doing a passive regen and needs higher temps.
3. They will reliably start as cold as -4°F, so long as your bunk heater can keep up for you inside, helps with fuel savings (if you get a bonus) and keeps the truck low on hours.
4. When you are broke down for emissions issues, you will be waiting for parts. Be prepared to wait at least 3-5 days for the dealer to get you rolling. But so long as you keep the idle up high, you shouldn't have many issues outside of sensors over 300K miles. DPF will need a full service around this time (about 500K km).
5. Hopefully you get a 500 hp up-tune, because the stock 435-450 hp is highly under-powered. They get decent economy on flat ground at 80K or less, but if you run near 100K gross, you'll be passed by people running heavier weights in the hammer lane (we have drivers that complain they get passed by B-trains running 137,500 gross).Crusader66, Feedman, 1951 ford and 2 others Thank this. -
They are a huge liability for companies as well for insurance. If the driver gets into an accident, the insurance company asks for all the videos of that driver, and will deny coverage if they spot even a remotely unsafe behaviour.
Why do you think the megas dropped them? Micromanaging sucks and is ruining trucking.Crusader66, Logan76, stwik and 5 others Thank this. -
For those who are interested. Updated Feb 1st.

I don’t know how Northern California isn’t at a high risk. We’ve had very few days of weather this year

Headache rack and a half or so. There's more chains under the center tarp... and roughly 8 pocket stakes lined up underneath the padding tarps in the back....
I was gonna get to work throwing it all back in the rack today. But it's been raining all day and my work ethic has escaped me...snowman_w900, Zeviander, Logan76 and 9 others Thank this. -
Get a little bored did we?snowman_w900, MACK E-6, Zeviander and 7 others Thank this.
