When you're nearly 600 pounds over on your drives and Melton doesn't buy sliding fifth wheels you get crafty...

That just isn't as fun. I know when her tail breaks the top of the water most likely she is gone. Still hypnotize me every time

I'm kinda surprised to see Melton doesn't use ratchet binders.

Corporate pushes us to all snap binders. We don't have one ratchet in our fleet that I know of -- was told it's due to the fact that they (corporate) are afraid of the immense load claims from drivers over-tightening the binders. It's bollocks.

On the flip side... we have plenty of drivers who can't even maintain a proper engine oil level or tire pressure, you think their gonna grease and maintain equipment? Forget it.

Couldn't tell you guys the amount of times I've done repowers only to be left with basketball size holes in the traded tarps... no one here takes care of their equipment from what I've seen. Melton wants to make them start paying for new tarps at Tulsa instead of just handing them out for free -- can't say I blame them.

The states i was worried about all green lighted me or I hoped around on back roads no issues. The one state I wasn't worried about -- Alabama -- caught me and put me on a portable. I was 300 pounds over with half tanks. I ran through Oklahoma with full tanks... if I didn't move it who knows what the scale would've read.

Either way an hour worth of my time is cheaper than a ticket these days.

It's -25 this morning and stuff just don't wanna start. The block heater wasn't enough so had to break out the battery charger and torch.
