Well, funny thing was he comes out, does a level 1. Everything is good. I actually get a sticker on my truck and trailer. He had calmed down, but still really ####ty acting. He got done, told me to come inside after I pulled over to the parking area.

Walk in, hes got a weird look on his face. Him and the other guy is quiet. Real different than before. He said, just hang tight. I'll be with ya in a minute. Bout 10 minutes later, a state trooper comes rolling in. Big guy. Comes in and says, this him? They said yep!

Sir, theres a warrant out for your arrest. WTF! WHAT FOR????

 

I asked a few times, he said I cant really tell you, it just comes up as a compound conviction. What in the #### is that. I told the scale master hes was a ########## and somebody needs to set him down, nail his bag to a stump and kick him over backwards. #### you!

The cuffs go on and he puts me in the cruiser....NOT GOOD.

 

Smokin' .... excellent. This script is really heatin' up now !

Again, I apologize for the long wind. I know it's kinda like a dam book here. Lol....let's move along.

So, at this point I'm setting in the cruiser aggravated as hell. I didnt even tell my woman what is going on. Didnt even get a chance. I figured the scale man would let her know what was up, but still. Very uneasy deal.

So off we go. Northbound on 55. Headed towards the county jailhouse. As we come up on exit 19 on 55, theres a pilot there on the east side of 55. The trooper opens the little window and strikes up some conversations,

"Hey buddy, you got any cash on you?"

Me: "what? Cash? Why you ask that?

Trooper: "well its Friday afternoon, if you can get some cash together, you might be able to post bond before the staff leaves. I doubt you wanna stay in the jail all weekend ."

Me: "hell no I dont wanna stay in there. What's my options? How much I need you think? I got a couple hundred in my wallet, but that's it."

Trooper: " I dunno, but do you got a way to get some cash outta a ATM?"

 

Now, I'm setting here wondering, how the #### am I supposed to go to a ATM with handcuffs on while setting in the back of a police car. This guy is being a smartassss.

Well I was wrong. We make a right turn off the interstate and he pulls into the Pilot truckstop. Now I'm realizing hes being serious. He is gonna let me go to an ATM and get some cash. Lol...dam odd thing to do. So instead of parking around back or away from the door....he parks the cruiser RIGHT UP FRONT OF THE DOORS.

So imagine all these people walking around staring as he gets me outta the car, and walks me in the truckstop and then stands there with his back turned to me like he was guarding me while I swipe my bank card at the ATM machine. He was nice enough to take the cuffs off once we got inside. People were starting to stare. Not one person said a word to us. He was a big black guy and I'm sure the entire thing was just very strange to see.

So I swipe it 3 times cause you could only get $200 at a time, which took longer than normal which in turn made things even more strange to the friendly folk in the Pilot. At that point, I just had to laugh. Well, I got my cash, we went back out to the cruiser, he put me back in the back of the car and away we went towards a town maybe 5 or 10 miles east of there.

We pull into the Courthouse and we go into the booking area.
