That's in Floyd, IA this morning, lol.

It's called a "sun dog". Very common up in Canada in January and February, when it gets REALLY cold, the atmosphere refracts the Sun into a disc-shaped rainbow.

It looks amazing out on the flat prairies. Especially when you get the reflection of the sun dog off the flat, while, shiny snow in the fields.

 

Washed and 50 miles down the road waiting in line to unload my 10am appointment.
Did I mention I hate road salt?
