Campho Phenique for cuts and Greys Ointment for splinters at our house when I was little.

Reminds me when I was in 4th grade. Came in from recess with a splinter I couldn’t grab. The only male teacher in the school saw me walking down the hall pickin at it.

“Splinter?”

“Yep”

“Come here” as he reaches in his pocket and flicks his pocket knife open. One quick swipe and no more splinter. Busy hallway in full view of all the other kids and female teachers.

Try THAT nowadays.

 

Just google it, there are some way worse. Yes we know I need help, wife would agree with that statement.

I used to #### this chick, her father was a mechanic n a mean drunk whole time she was growing up. She told me she was about 13 first time she got a scrape/cut at somebody else’s house n found out nobody else had a bucket of gasoline that you dipped into or poured on a cut.
Pretty rough if that’s curing what ails ya.
