I have tried to tell the diesel pickup guys this for a long time. No one listens. "but its a diesel and thats the best". Wrong

 

I have an 05 duranax that I use to get an ice cream in the summer like @wore out dosr with his Malibu.
Love the truck!! It’s a beast! No wAy I’d go buy a new diesel pickup. Way to complex and expensive now.

I used to have a gas 6.0 ls in a 2001 2500 company truck and that thing did great. Finally died at like 310k miles on it.

 

My buddy has a newer 6.0 Chevy.....he gets in my boy's Cummins....."my truck won't do that. It would have already shifted four times"

Yep your right it won't do that....

 

I had an 02 5.9 that was the deal. But I will be honest I never had a dirtymaxx to compare it too.

Gm sposed to have a 6.6 gasser for 2020.

I’m not sold on this duramax. Has some power for sure. Got a intake and a throttle pedal upgrade put in. Definitely has power but even around town the fuel mileage is under 12.
Prolly be fine with a gasser next go round as much as I actually haul with it. Mostly my riding around truck anyway.

Button up some wiring, throw some oil and water in and she should be ready to run in the morning. I just can’t climb up on that frame rail again today. Lol.
