I’d make it work for that.

The CertainTeed plant in Oxford NC had a mileage rule. 300 mile radius or something like that. Basically if it was further than a day's ride it was tarped.
Those cellophane wrappers ( or whatever it is ) shred real easy.

That's what I was told anyway..

I loaded with a few folks there who were going pretty far from there a couple times. One guy was heading to Nebraska, which is dang far for shingles, because of a custom order. A closer plant would have had to spend more money on a changeover than the shipping cost. The longer trips were tarped. I wasn't required to tarp because I was usually only going to Charlotte. I was over the mileage limit once or twice by just a few ( 20 or less ) with a load to Anderson SC and Pendleton SC. Google Map says 299 to Pendleton from the plant.
    I didn't have to tarp..

Have a buddy that was all red, but he got big time and the JD dealer is closer and became beer buddys with them. Now almost everyday one of there pickups are at his farm everyday, and some nights. He has a fleet of JD now. And guess where anything that needs demoed or tested is taken to. You guessed it. Bailed every bail of big bale straw this past year with one on demo. I mess with him so much.

I’d rather take an ### whooping than to ever haul out of that cluster #### again. It’s right up there with the brick yard outside of Charlotte
