Lol!!! I agree somewhat. My wife likes butter on hers as well as hot plastic syrup.

Growing up choices were very thin to a point. Flapjacks were the size of aunt Winnie’s big cast iron skillet, biscuits were truly the size of cat heads, and one duck egg was as good as 5 guinea eggs.
Milk, eggs,butter came from outback at the barn and chicken house..... and instead of blueberrys, we had Mulberries for cereal and flapjacks. Wish I was still eating like that....

The difference in my waffles and pancakes are the appliance that is used to cook them. Melted butter in them with a touch of real vanilla.
