Not so bad, it was just a really long day.

The clamp on the first boot coming off the turbo broke and disappeared, allowing the boot to slide off. I had two clamps on each end of other boots and was able to swipe some to get by.

I was hauling a 30T John Deere artic truck, then after that hooked onto a friend's end dump and hauled snow off of an airport all night. Started that day at 5:00 a.m, finished next morning at the same time. I'm too old for that stuff anymore.

Well I'm not going to get caught up, but had a good day yesterday.

Wife's younger brother turns 60 this week. He has been insulin dependent for 50 years.

Her older brother and his wife were able to come up from Lubbock and surprise him.

We took everybody out to the National Elk Refuge. Kinda touristy, but fun nonetheless.

That’s a long day fer shore.

I had a cold side clamp break and disappear like that one time. South of Hennessy, OK, hot summertime. I pulled over, saw the clamp missing, grabbed a spare out the side box and threw it on. No big deal. Fired her up and took off. Just as I left the parking lot the fan kicked on and I heard metal-to-metal contact....

Not sure exactly where the old clamp was layin (bottom of the shroud, best I can figure) but the fan picked it up and tossed it into the center of the radiator slicker’n spit.

Took me quite a while with some needle-nose pliers and I lost half my water but I finally got the leak stopped.

At least we both had a spare. Turns into a REAL long day when ya don’t.

Hmmm, I figured it was long gone, maybe I had better check the bottom of the shroud.

No matter how many times it happens, it still scares the crap out of me when one blows!

Me too. First thing I do is look at oil pressure, hand already on the key by that time. If I got pressure then I look at the boost gauge. That always tells the tail.

Still always worries me I’m gonna get out and there’s a big black puddle running out a new window.

Sure wouldn’t hurt to look in the shroud but the one I had fall in there was right off the CAC on drivers side. I kinda doubt the one right off the turbo could make it that far, but ya never know.

That was a sad deal. His gramps started trucking, driving for my dad.
