Went to drop the distributor in the Elco an that sucker was looser fittin that Pinocchios pekker in Rosie Odonnel! What the? So I break out the dial caliper an some dam someone sanded off over .125 off the oil gallery bands on the distributor housing! Hmmm... that AINT gonna work! Explains why the motor didnt have bed linen fer oil pressure! So, aint gonna light that candle tonight like I planned...

 

Got my 2nd heavy on, heading to house till early am. I have no idea the sick sob that is ordering these in this temp but oh well.

A white fl painted just like that was piggyed back in new 1984 to Midway truck center behind my dads blue 1984 together. Remember it like yesterday. Its when they offered aluminum or fiberglass hoods as a option. Insurance companies wanted glass hoods because they broke with impact and didnt mess up the cab as bad.
