When people with Disabilities are able to get out and enjoy what they truly love to do because themselves or someone else has made it possible for them to be able to get out it makes such a huge difference in they're outlook on life, I really enjoy seeing things like this.
I use to volunteer at a National Wildlife Refuge and my best friend and I did a deer hunt every year for people with disabilities and the only qualifier was that they had to be in a wheel chair because people in wheelchairs can't just go out and hunt anywhere and we had the place that they could. We made platforms for their wheelchairs and made the ground blinds for them and their helper to sit in and they were able to hunt for a week or until their tag was filled.
One of the gentleman was a quadriplegic and I sat and assisted him for 3 years during deer season. He was such a cool guy and had so many cool stories. Bill Wise RIP (9/22/38 - 2/24/07), EAST COAST LEGEND PASSES AWAY | Surfline. He and the others looked so forward to that time of year, as did we, and were so thankful for the opportunity. It was even 10 times better if they got a deer, the excitement was so rewarding to see.
My point being is that they looked so forward to deer season every year and were so happy to have the chance to get out and have a place to hunt because it's what they loved to do, just like this guy being able to get out and ride with his buds, they are able to get out and not be confined to the house or some home.

We got back a little bit ago from our 2 hour "Fill The Boot" (MDA) time slot. The little gal who is our "spokeslady" (because I absolutely hate the term poster child) was out there in her wheel chair holding a boot beside the rest of us. She has taken it upon herself to learn about the MDA and can tell you just about anything you want to know about the organization.
She is the same age as my twins (19) and my wife worked with her through grade school and middle school. She's been our little gal for 7 years now. It's inspiring to have been able to watch her grow up and see the young adult she is turning into. All because she wasn't willing to let a disability slow her down.86mechanic, sawmill, SAR and 13 others Thank this. -
My son decided to come run with me a couple weeks waiting on his rice hull run to kick back off. So my wife and daughter in law brought my grandson down since I didn't get to see him while I was home. He is 14 months his eyes light up when he sees paw paw. I grab him up and he has something to give me. It's a pregnancy test. I'm gonna be paw paw again. Life is Good
