No a 4 bolt main 396 was not production..... but this is why my Freind Tom and I always told folks we would like to have a 65 Z16 Talk about a hens tooth.

 

Thanks, wasn't sure if 191 was open. I'll run 9 up to 40.

Somewhere I have more literature on this transition. I could be wrong on salvaging the 396 blocks.....

Well, I’ve had my fill of trucking for this week. I believe I’m gonna steal some fuel from the guy next to me and point her to the barn.

 

But wouldn't this hold true only on cars upgraded at said locations? Lots of non BB cars were shipped to those locations with big blocks added. I dont know if this applies to car leaving factory with engine installed.

 

Not sure.... I’ll have to look deeper in my library lol..... not sure I have the info to answer it
