That, and when the company never greases them and slaps an inspection sticker on it, you need an impact to turn them since they are so dry.

Amazing isn’t it? I understand the need, I wouldn’t want mist drivers messing around under a truck.

I think that was my point I was trying to make. There have been a lot of changes over time, and dam few for the better. I'm really not some old, bitter, cynical SOB who sits around all day feeling sorry for himself. It's just sometimes I think of the past and stay too long.

This is one of the best ways I’ve ever heard it put.

I had a diesel cop inspect my KW before I ever put it on the road. He was impressed with how solid it is.... but was unsure of my manual slacks. Said he would have to check the book and see where the law mandates needing to have auto slacks. According to our green bible, trucks built after “October “? 1994 need auto adjust slacks, my truck was built November or December 1994, then titled in 95 since it’s a factory Glider. The Rockwell diff’s in the rear have a tag dated 1993. I have entertained putting auto slacks on it, just for piece of mind if I start venturing farther south or west, but sure hate to.
