I'm a bare bones sports car guy. But I do enjoy a long ride in something built for comfort.

 

He had relatives in Louisiana and Los Angeles I think ? I'm positive about Louisiana. That was back in 91 and 92.

Greetings from the great northwest. About the 5th trip I’ve made out here this winter and even with the crazy snow, I’ve somehow avoided chaining all season. Friday morning it was fresh snow over black ice on 84 all the way from La Grande to Meacham, but amazingly enough Cabbage was clear.

Dropped in Sandy, OR and Battleground, WA. One more drop down near Salem on Monday. On a 34 at the Jubitz in Portland. Got pretty well hammered at the Ponderosa Lounge Friday night then Saturday afternoon took a tour of Portland’s haunted underground.....what’s known as the Shanghai Tunnels.

Pretty cool to learn about the dark history of this town and see the evidence of it. In the mid to late 1800’s thousands of people were “Shanghaid “ (kidnapped) in that tunnel system. Able-bodied men would be sold to sea captains and women sold into prostitution. Most of them ended up in China.

Even witnessed a demonstration of an old (still working) trap door from a bar up above where a drunken patron would be dropped through to the tunnel below, never to be seen again.
