What other grain do they feed a steer? Grass fed is different than grain fed, then there’s grass finished.

 

Ok you got me stumped. Im having a blonde moment and you know way more than me. I know the beef we get isn't fed corn that's all know. Is grass finished just towards the end a few weeks before their last ride

 

If it’s grass finished it’s most likely grass fed all the way. A lot of farms run them on grass and finish on grain, don’t know any that do it the other way. The feedlots I’ve been in feed silage, cracked corn, and supplements.

Were getting beef that's not fed corn. Its a family friend that has maybe 15 head and just does it to help feed their big irish clan and sells a few from time to time
