Growing up so close to Norwood had more to do with it than the eye. Everything seemed to be closing down when I was getting out of school. GE jet engine plant, Norwood GM, Fischer Body, or you had no chance of getting in the others, Proctor&Gamble, Ford C 4 transmission plant, etc.
At least it seemed that way to me. It was slowing down for certain.
They ( Honda. I was a fan. ) were building the first Japanese owned factory in the US up in Marysville but that was too far away to commute.

Been hangin out in northern VT and south QC for a week

 

As you can tell by the blacktop, it was raining when we hit Deals Gap. It was almost miserable coming across, couldn’t see ####.
