Okay so I came around a semi blind curve on a 4 lane state highway. I was doing approx 60 in a 65 and there was a guy in a mid 90's beat up v6 mustang. Stopped. I had no time to react. Like I didn't even see it coming.

I'm pretty disappointed in myself for this as I have a clean record and haven't been in any type of collison in more than a decade (Minor. Not at fault).

He was apparently turning into a driveway that is off the highway and said something about waiting for a truck to turn in...but I couldn't understand him. He had no DL and I believe the trooper said no insurance.

TxDPS cited me for "failure to control speed" or "failure to control vehicle". He didnt mention/mark anything on the citation about it being a wreck. I think this guy did me a huge favor. But I need to look up the actual vehicle code and figure out what I need to do.

 

Man, I'd lawyer up.. and I rarely (if ever) say that. I'm so sorry.. dang.

Funny that if you lie on your logbook and something happens, you shouldn't have been there. Some dip#### with no license or insurance shouldn't be there either but I guess he gets to be the victim. I hate the legal system in North America.
