Well looks like I've got a couple days of slack. Guess I'll drop the wagon and pull the mule in the shop and fix my cam follower leaks while I've got time.
@OLDSKOOLERnWV what kind of homemade invention do you use to install the accessory drive pulley? I know Cummins makes one, but it looks like a guy could substitute. I've only ever had it off once and the radiator was out at the time so I just used a block of wood and hammer for installation.

We'll I'm fortunate enough to have a friend with the tool made for it. Go to fastenal and match up the threads on a longer bolt, or all thread. Get a heavy fender washer and nut and you can make a press to get it back on.
Losing my mind... need 2 nuts with the same thread, weld then together and shave the corners off to clear the inside of the pulley, then use a couple different length bolts or long threaded bolt with heavy fender washer and nut. Only need one nut to match the threads on the accessory drive, other can be any thread.Last edited: Mar 2, 2018

My lightnin fast mind just put 2&2 together, but I suppose that's the group out of Tonkawa that have the chrome shop/parts supply with the KW cabover w/trailer standing on its nose out front, right?
That is a fine lookin ride for sure.Shock Therapy, SAR, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 7 others Thank this. -
That's just what I was thinkin. Thanks partner. I should have replaced these dang gaskets when we rebuilt the motor last May, but of course they weren't leaking a drop then. Bout a month ago the front one let loose and it's gettin worse by the day it seems.
Oh well, this is what makes this old stuff more funner, right??Tug Toy, Shock Therapy, SAR and 7 others Thank this. -
@ShooterK2 I just throwed this together to give a visual.... once the washer bottoms out against the accessory drive shaft just back up and add a small collar like a 1 1/4" NPT coupling that will slide over the shaft and take it on home. Hope this makes sense.
