It’s a pipe cover. That 9 has the average sized pipes hidden by the heat shields and that pipe cover thing on the top. A cheap way to get that fat pipe look. It’s kind of like a goober extension for trucks.

When is your show? I might have to mark it on my calander? Are there hotels to stay at there? Is it in YOUR actual town?

I’d like to hear more about it and see if I can plan a visit during the event?

Ok truck is done, load delivered and had a great dinner with another driver who is stuck here overnight too waiting on parts. Can’t return the rental car till 9 am anyway. I don’t have anything booked yet so no biggie.
640A106D-A92E-4840-84AA-986D587ACC7A.jpeg Bill included: delivering the load with there truck 20 miles each way ( took 2 hours from the time they left) both sides springs and u bolts, both front windshields, labor and tax. I rented a car for $130 plus fuel to chase the parts. First contact was 10:30 and I was out the door at 7pm.

I believe the bill and service was great.

I took this driver to dinner with me. He got towed in late Sunday night and had parts ordered by 11 am this morning. Needs a front differential. Will be here tomorrow by noon. Sounds like under $5500 including the tow and $600 shipping for the Hog head?
Nice immigrant fellow. Never eaten Mexican food before. It was interesting chatting with him. Not at all the stereotype that gets thrown around. I think we both did some learning tonight? C5D8D7A9-AEAC-4076-A771-F255CF71D148.jpeg

I am very happy with the work and attitude at this shop. They got rave reviews from me all the way till I stated putting things away in the cab of the truck......

They scratched the #### out of my dash with there tool to cut the windshield out. What is wrong with people? All that energy on there part and leave a giant scrape and gouge right where the driver looks 10 hours a day....

Anyway sounds like they are going to try and make it right but “why” in the first place? These shops never fail to disappoint.

Been 15 years since I've been in that part of the world. Wouldn't surprise me if they were still there, though. Along with the '50's vintage Chevy flatbed that was covered in blackberry bushes, and there was a D2 that was just returning to the earth. Was parked by a storage shed after the old Seabee (Pearl Harbor Survivor) who ran it passed away some time in the 80's.

A 110hp steam engine would pull right with a 300hp diesel tractor no problem.

One of the Goliath’s of the steam world is being brought back to life now.... 150hp Case Steam traction engine. Be nice to see what it’s capable of for sure!!

I’m having the show on Saturday August the 3rd. It is free to the public with free parking as long as I’m President of the show. And yes there are multiple motels in this area. One motel at exit 20 on I-64 has a Mexican restaurant, and a Out Back steak in other side of the lot. That’s only 2 miles from the show. And yes the show is in my hometown, actually only 1/4 mile from my house lol.

This mill is exactly like mine & dads mill, including the engine which is setting at my house, a 402 cubic inch 4 cylinder Case Lae engine.

Had me impressed until the dash scratches. But... other than the fact you had to rent a car to chase parts, the price is pretty good imo. At least they didn't gouge you AND ruin your dash?
