Finally got the engine out. Got tied up with other jobs. Just too bad I won't get to put it back together since it needs a couple parts replaced before the new one can go in.

The ones your girlfriend wears I’ll have to check the ones she left.

It had a cast grill. I do not remember the hand clutch which most people would consider odd but the A, and G Deeres had hand clutches. That would have been business as usual.
I have been thanking about this while as the thunder storm had me shut out and the memory is opening some. It had a hand clutch and the rear crank seal was two blocks of felt. Got the rear tires off a Massey Harris combine in a junk yard. They were cheep but that was a lot of work. Pulled it out of the shop and around the front of the building where all the buses lined up. Pulled the G string, no not that, the one on the governor like I saw at the tractor pull. Twisted it up to all I thought it could stand as we blew by all those class rooms. Had a couple of passengers and we were very proud as that straight pipe was screaming. Should have had a trailer behind it for everyone that wore themselves out on the hand crank. Gears in the governor got out of time somehow.
That was the engine break in and I drove it home fifteen miles the following Saturday.Feedman, PoleCrusher, Tug Toy and 16 others Thank this.
