Nice looking bit of land. But take it from me, you're gonna want a larger tractor. We had one that size and while it's alright it's nothing more than an overgrown lawn mower. It was a great machine just too small for any kind of dirt or gravel work. The next step or 2 up would be perfect for a larger piece of land. We've got a Kubota L2650 now thats perfect size for that size land, it's a little bigger than we need but we move alot of gravel and driveway and road maintenance with it and it's never bogged to the point it wouldnt pull.1951 ford, Brettj3876, Slowpoke KW and 10 others Thank this.

The only thing this tractor is going to be used for is mowing, carrying the things in the bucket that I'm too lazy to carry and digging some footings for house foundation. I'll hire a contractor to come in with proper dirt work equipment like a grader and sheepsfoot compactor to build my drive.
As for "working" that land, not going to happen with any size tractor, it's all limestone rocks about the size (and shape) of paving bricks 6" below the surface.1951 ford, Brettj3876, BigCam9670 and 17 others Thank this. -
Fair enough. Didnt intend to make it seem like I was telling you how to spend your money. Just offering personal experience.1951 ford, Brettj3876, BigCam9670 and 15 others Thank this.

Man, beautiful looking property! Guess if I was a single guy, Id live in one of them sheds closer to the pond. Looks great buddy!1951 ford, Brettj3876, BigCam9670 and 15 others Thank this. -
Yea, they won't move. I tend to carry 10 or so short hard 4×4's about 14" for that kind of work. Just drop one on each side of binder so you dont have to handle the long sticks.1951 ford, Brettj3876, BigCam9670 and 14 others Thank this. -
Well we are done trucking for the week. Have funeral number 2 Friday. Its a childhood friends Mother unexpectedly. She was like a mother to all us boys growing up in the area and first family to lend a hand when something happened to others. Thinking we are gonna grab some beers, lawn chairs and set down for a good long BS session this afternoon.
1951 ford, Brettj3876, BigCam9670 and 20 others Thank this.
