Man, it is amazing how much your weather and ours differ. Especially considering that we are only a good days drive away from each other.
At least it looks like @SAR will have a sunny and balmy mid-fifties day at the race.

I was just looking down your way. It looks like there might be some moisture today? Over west by Canadian, Stratford on down towards Amarillo are under fire warnings today.

Texas has put 2 crews on standby for the week in the panhandle. I believe they're based at Texas A&M university. Hopefully, it will be smooth sailing for you.

Had an interesting conversation in a weigh station. Walked inside to hand my permit to the DOT cop.

    Six: Morning sir.
    DOT: Morning. How’s your day?
Six: Better than yesterday...at least we’re moving. There was a big ol accident yesterday on the big road , 2 cars and 2 semis, the semi had a load of pipe go through his sleeper. And with all the rain, the backroads and the US highways were all locked off.
DOT: Yea, we had a fatality near here yesterday. I could hear the truckers screaming BREAKCHECK on the radio.
Six: Will, no one runs a radio anymore.
    DOT: Yeah...
Six: and a 3rd of the drivers can’t even speak English.
DOT: That used to be an OUT OF SERVICE here, but they changed the regs...now it’s just a ticket.
Six: It’s all about SAFETY, right?
    DOT: Yeah right...here’s your permit.
Six: Need me to cross your scale on my way out?
DOT: Yessir, if you don’t mind.
    Six: Dont mind a bit.
DOT: Have a good day driver. Be safe.

I come from a law enforcement family. As kids, we were taught a little bit of respect and friendliness goes a long ways. You Sir have once again validated that point.

@Logan76 and I headed to Cracker Barrel here shortly, we finished up just after midnight so our tails were dragging. Wife went to Florida to see her dad making me a bachelor, 3 bedroom home so I put Logan up for the night... god knows he was tuckered out! Y'all be safe out there.
