    (Commentary by Six)

You know how, when someone is new to flatbedding and they ask your help, you desire to help them? It seems recently, to me at least, that trying to help new drivers is futile. They are in their situation in life for a reason. They are the cause of all of their problems and they choose to be irresponsible.

Like for example, the thread that got shut down. What a waste. If a perspective employer doesn't see you as a good fit in his company, that's HIS choice.

    "But Six, that's discrimination!!!"

Said the hairy guys that tried to sue Hooters because Hooters wouldn't hire guys to be HooterGirls. Why don't you people open up your own place with bad food and hire all the hairy arsed guys you can to prance around in short shorts? Heck, name it in honor of Fred Mercury.

Had a buddy of mine whose wife, 5'10, 375lbs, was refused employment at Victoria's Secret. Talked about suing. What for? Discrimination. 375 lbs and suing. Heck, what about everyone else? What about the Uber driver who rolls up to pick them up? Three hundred seventy five pounds. What happens if she can't fit inside of a small car? Cry discrimination? What if she wanted to be a horse jockey at the Kentucky Derby? Discrimination? Why not do something where you can thrive? Like Sumo? Or testing toilet seats for durability?

Had a bit of a problem at the place where I was delivering in Salt Lake today. There was no turn around in their lot, so had to back in following the arrow on the street with lots of traffic coming both ways. The receiver wouldn’t block traffic for me so I was on my own. I circled the area where I ran up on some grass trying to straighten the trailer, so I wouldn’t run over their steel. They later #####ed at me about damaging. There was a pallet with steel on it sitting right inside the gate in the second picture where I have the red marks by the cones. I had that small pathway to get my truck and trailer through their gate by myself without hitting anything while holding up city traffic. Then it took them 2 hours to unload me. I took a video of the “damage” to the grass across the street. Maybe three square feet of sod got torn.

Didn’t someone mention how flatbeds don’t need reverse? This was a nightmare scenario for me, and my battleship of a W9. Fun times.

The damage to the grass they were so concerned about. I am lucky I didn’t take out the sprinkler. All could have been avoided if they had one guy who would have been spotting me like I had asked (they declined my request for an extra pair of eyes so I wouldn’t hit anything on my blind side).
