Hey brother @Grubby the guy that blast them frame rails for yall.... he use sand, soda or glass?

How far you gotta disassemble one for him to do it?

 

Sorry I'm late Shooter, but I went back and found the discussion back in April 12. I quoted a few members that had ideas.

I used a needle scaler to get the rust off and it cleaned the metal really good. I have huge pit marks and spots where the frame is half eaten away. I used the POR-15 paint to finish it up. I should of used the method @snowman_w900 did on his truck but maybe next time.

Shooter the frame bounced back straight when It got all cleaned up, but the fifth wheel plate was kinda warped and did not sit flush with the frame. I can get you a picture of what it looks like tomorrow. I'm just glad to have gotten that crap outta there. Good luck!

Just sand but they turn out cleaner than a skeeters peter!
We usually pull the taillights, flaps n stuff, take off any fenders thats on it, pull the inside drives and any boxes on the frame. Drive it over an let 'im at it, a day or so later pick it up.

Well my day was crap, I’m not going to post pictures because of company social media policies but I can tell you if a Volvo tries to pass a K-Tec scraper mid turn the K-Tec will win.

 

I wasn’t going to post these but.....

Driver where I’m at had his frame stretched, a 3rd axle put on and a used 1500lb torque 13 speed put in.

Says he’s got a dedicated power only OSOW gig waiting for him and his Detroit t2000.

A shop did this stretch...


You oversized boys better watch your backs. You guys way overpaid your all your fancy equipment!
