Back in the day...
Both sides were treacherous. That eastbound side was steep and twisted. The runaway ramp was on the right, and if it didn't stop you, you'd Evel Knievel it right to the bottom. On the westbound side, on the downgrade, where that wall is and all the black and yellow signs, there was this big kink in the road and the road was leaning off camber. The road was kinked right, but cambered left.
"What does that mean, Six?"
Your trailer would lean left as your steers cut hard right. Odds were pretty good that if your load shifted, you were going to roll. And thousands of them rolled over there. -
New block? Where does one go about coming up with one of them? I was under the impression all ya could get for an N-14 these days is a reman, and if they come from the same place their reman heads come from, I don’t want no part of it. Lol.

Truth!
Good stuff @OLDSKOOLERnWV -
That was hilarious. Talk bout pissing someone off, that would do it!
-
Sure would.
After I got mine back together with new cam and stuff, I fired it up and was walking around checking for leaks. I was on the passenger side and my dispatcher walked down the drivers side. All the sudden she goes to missing.... he thought he was bein slick..... I just moseyed around there and plugged number 4 back in like nothin happened.
Think I stole his thunder. Lol. -
That's a natural fact!!!

Think what she means is a replacement block for the reman engine... she payed big $$$ for a Cummins reman engine, something happened and Cummins tore into it and found the factory had cut the block for a oversized liner just on one hole. She raised 10 kinds of hell to my understanding and they sent a new reman block to Cummins for them to install. I know she told me this morning on text she has paperwork for every little thing done to it.

I prefer the hard life, but I took the healthy road instead. And I guess it's working. At 70 I don't take not one prescription drug and get 2 yr certifications on my dot physical. I think I may have missed out on a hell of a lot of fun though.
